Micaver is a mica-glass insulating material with many applications in electrical insulation. They are produced by over-moulding metallic inserts with mica-glass at high temperature. As a result of this process, the metallic parts are mechanically bonded together while electrically insulated from each other. Unlike the parts designed thanks to a combination of ceramic and metallic elements which often differ from each other, Micaver is a repeatable process offering a very long life time and a robust finished product. Today Micaver stand-off insulators Technical performance is recognized by the whole Railway industry. World-wide leading train manufacturers know for more than 75 years they can rely on an insulator that will provide safety, durability and reduced maintenance costs. Micaver is rolling on every continent used in locomotives, high speed trains and metros. It is the material of choice to insulate rheostatic components for brakes, heating elements, electrical cable fixtures. Micaver stand-off insulators are also available in various shapes for long creeping distance electrical insulation.
